tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez was born February 27, 1976. He is an American football tight end. He played 17 seasons with the National Football League. Gonzalez is believed to be one of the most important tight ends in history. Gonzalez holds the NFL's record in receiving yards as well as receptions as a tight end. He also ranks third in total receptions. Gonzalez was chosen in the 1st round of the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a part of the team for his first 12 seasons with them. In his five last seasons in the NFL, he played for the Atlanta Falcons. Since retiring in 2013 Gonzalez has worked as an analyst for football on NFL on Prime Video and was previously with CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez finished his career with fourteen Pro Bowl selections, the most of a tight-end and the second-highest in league history and also received six All-Pros on the first team. The player is known for his strength and his infrequent fumbling, Gonzalez appeared in 270 of 272 regular season games and lost only two fumbles over 1,327 touch. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Gonzalez was inducted in the year 2019.
